November Twelfth ~ Day Twelve

Not a great deal has happened in regards to this project.  Though quite a lot of things have happened in my life.  The largest and most exciting one is that I competed and attended a dance competition and ball.  I had a great time and won my first ever trophy.  It was for the rhythm dances (for those not in the know: Cha Cha, Rumba and Swing) I also came 3rd in the smooth division (Waltz, Foxtrot & Tango).

Other then that it's been work, work and more work.  Though the other day I did get pulled over by the cops.  $200 and 2 demerit points later, I was back on my way to work for the day.  This was for not 'properly' displaying my P plates.  I think someone is starting early on their Christmas Bonus!

Now onto the November Project, I've done most of the lead-in storyboard, not a whole heap of work... just a few quick sketches and notes to remind me of camera movements and what I want the scene to achieve/look like.  I do plan on spending much more time doing this now that everything exciting is behind me.  Well... not EVERYTHING *grins*  so there should be much more work happening very very shortly.

I will soon write up a brief script for what my film will be about so stay tuned for that.  If all goes well, this should be up within two-three days time.  At least that's the plan :)

please forgive terrible scan/sketchyness.  When I have a few more pages done, I'll spend the time to scan them in properly.   I promise!

November Second - day two

I started sketching up some concepts for one of my characters.  It seems that because I know I have to work on it, I don't want to.  Young children are hard to draw....  humans are hard to draw.  I know the style I want it's somewhere between cartoon and realistic.  I just want it to look like Pixar ok, anything less simply won't do *grins*

I will post some work up here when I've got something closer to the style I'm after.  For now there's very little progress.  Not to good.

November First - Day One

The Plan

I've given myself a month to work on a short film. Why? Well seeing my sis try to be a winner with the NaNoWriMo (writing a 50k word novel in a month) has inspired me to work on my own projects. Being a short film that has been brewing for near on two years now in the depths of my imagination. I've even given it my own cool name... I give you, the NaShoDesMo* aka my November project.

This is what I'm aiming to get done this month:
Character Concept
Character Modeling & Texturing
Character Rigging

Story Board
Basic Animatic (very basic)

Over and out
